There was a beautiful sunset last night so Donica and I went out to Cape Merry to take pictures. Sorry some of them are a bit dark, camera wouldn't lighten it up much, oh well they still turned out pretty fantastic. Enjoy!
Welcome and enjoy pictures and stories of my year in Churchill in the making.

These are pictures of my first boat ride of the year. I went out with Cyril the man who is teaching me how to hunt and live off the land and his brother Grant. We went out to the Weir which is the mass of rocks, it goes from one end of the river to the other. We got out of the boat and walked around on the rocks.
This is a beaver house we found, it was massive! Grant even walked up to the top of it.
Canada Goose nest, the mom sat on it till we were almost right up to it. Then she took off before I could get a picture of her. But I got to take a picture of her eggs instead.
Those dark spots on the pictures, those are seals. I wish I had a better zoom on my camera!! But yes we saw about 8 seals laying out on the rocks here. I didn't know that seals were soooo massive.

Lots and lots of Ice
Hello everyone!! The ice here in Churchill has really started to break up and so my friend Donica and I took out my Jeep, thats right I bought a Jeep!! (I'll post a picture of it later) Anywho we took a ride out to Cape Merry. The first few pictures are of the ice on the Hudson bay. The other pictures are of the Churchill River. We found some massive ice chunks that washed up on shore with the tide going out. We had a such a great time!

Hello all, Spring has finally sprung here in Churchill. Today I got to go hangout at the Churchill River aka The Flatts. I went walking around as the tide was going out and got up close and personal with some of the ice burgs that were left behind. Man was it ever beautiful out there!! Enjoy the pictures!
