Went out to Spruce Ridge today for a day outdoors. Sharon and I went with Steacy and Alyssa. It was an awesome day!! We took the back road to get there. This is the bay on the way there. We did see some seals but they were too far away to get on the camera.

Churchill is full of rocks, its sooo pretty!

This Canada Goose didn't want his picture taken. He just kept honking and walking away from me. Silly goose!

This is the Miss Piggy. It crashed here sometime in the 80's. Its called the Miss Piggy because it was loaded full of junk food to take up north. Only the captain and co pilot were in the plane and they both were hurt but didn't die.

Steacy's favorite place in Churchill, looks very nice in fall when it turns all different colours.

This is a ptarmigan, he was running across the road  too bad I didn't get a clearer picture, he had some red on his head he looked really nice.

There he goes....

We are at Spruce Ridge!

Now will just be a bunch of random shots of the area around the cabin.

Animal tracks we weren't sure what kind of animal though.

The blue cabin and these two sheds are Steacy's. It was all very nice!

The fire that didn't want to light, the wind kept blowing out the flame. But once it did get going it was a great fire, it was nice and warm!

On the other side of the cabin.

One of the neighbours thought it would be fun to take the truck for a drive in the water. Then he got stuck.

A Whisky Jack. There was 3 of them and they kept stealing our food. It even took big pieces of garlic sausage and whole chips.

A Whisky Jack eating on the ground in front of my feet.

We also went to Cape Merry. This is one of the forts on the river.

I had heard that there were whales out here so we went to look. We did not see any whales but we did see icebergs.

The land is so beautiful here in Churchill. I took way more pictures but decided not to bore you all with them. I also took pictures of the kids wading around in the pond today but didn't feel right posting pictures of them on here. Hope you liked the pictures!
